Description:
Rare, very large, Art Deco vase in matt glaze finish by Charles Catteau (1880 – 1966) which he designed in 1924 for Boch Freres Keramis.
This two colour, very dark brown on ochre, design of red deer and hinds is bordered by cobweb style pattern.
Whilst the overall condition looks excellent the base at some stage had been very professionally restored. This is in no way noticeable except the stamps underneath are missing.
This defect is fully reflected in the pricing. Date 1924
